Sarah grew up surrounded by the practice and understanding of acupuncture and Chinese medicine since the age of 4. Her mother, Lily Shwe-yin Clark (nee Kyan), a 35 year+ experienced acupuncturist came to the UK from Taiwan in the 1970s and started a private practice within the family home. Years later, Sarah gained her accreditation and certification as an Acupuncture and TCM practitioner from Middlesex University. This 4 year full-time Bachelor of Science degree programme based in Highgate, London, is a reputable and internationally recognised Acupuncture and TCM programme taught in partnership with the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine and the Ming-Ai Institute, London, and is fully accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board and affiliated in partnership with the University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing, China, being the only degree course of its kind to be taught outside of China.
Culminating 4 years of teaching from some of the UK’s most prestigious tutors, Doctor’s and practitioners in TCM, plus her 2 years’ Acupuncture and TCM clinical practice at the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine and both the Whittington and North Middlesex NHS Hospitals’ pain clinics, Sarah graduated with a First Class Honours degree and was additionally awarded the ‘Prize for Excellence in TCM Studies’.
Sarah is a fully registered member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network (UK) and an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
As a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, a professional special interest group for acupuncturists dedicated to supporting those with fertility issues, denoting a commitment to ongoing postgraduate study in the areas of gynaecology, fertility, obstetrics and post-natal care, Sarah is a specialist, particularly in areas of:
